He Ara Anamata Graduation an Outstanding Success
This week, the He Ara Anamata programme celebrated the graduation of its latest cohort, marking a significant milestone for students who have completed this transformative 12-week journey.
Designed to equip participants with essential life skills and job readiness, the programme has empowered students to step confidently into their next chapter, whether in employment, further training, or entrepreneurship.
The hands-on approach of He Ara Anamata has been instrumental in helping students develop practical skills, including barista training, meal planning, budgeting, and well-being practices. Key events such as Café Upane, Kaumātua Day, and Commercial Trade Day offered hands-on experience, allowing students to engage directly with the community while gaining industry-relevant knowledge.
Graduation isn’t just the end of a programme; it’s the beginning of a tailored pathway for each student.
Many graduates are now preparing for job placements, advanced training, or pursuing business ownership with support, thanks to the comprehensive foundation built by Ūpane.
The success of this cohort highlights the program’s commitment to creating lasting impact, ensuring that each student leaves with the skills, confidence, and support needed to thrive in their future endeavors.
A special mention to our iwi graduates - Mereana Rei, Selwyn Katene-Ferris and Kariti Solomon.
