You will join a team of experienced Tamariki Ora nurses, experts in child health and growth. We have teams based in both Porirua and Poneke (Wellington). You will enjoy the ability to work alongside health professionals with a wider support network, including Outreach Immunisation, Community Health Workers, Smoking Cessation Team, PT Trainers, Lactation Consultants. You just need to add your flair to our team.

The Tamariki Ora Wellchild Registered Nurse is responsible for ….

  • Providing essential care and practical support to children and young people with exceptional health needs and their families

  • Supporting, protecting and helping to improve children’s health

  • Upholding the vision and values across all aspects of the role

  • Maintain the competency requirements throughout the employment

  • Actively works collaboratively across all areas of Te Runanga o Toa Rangatira

Your high-level experience and professional expertise in Tamariki Ora Wellchild is a given, and you will be excited to engage and learn alongside Ngāti Toa. Of course, you’ll be well practiced with/in

  • The Wellchild Tamariki Ora National Schedule and Framework

  • Familiar with the process of home visits for whanau

  • Group facilitation and support to whanau to engage in our services
