  • Ngāti Toa Rangatira, tēnā tātou,

After careful consideration and alignment with our strategic objectives, Te Rūnanga o Toa Rangatira wishes to inform iwi members of the upcoming sale of 227 Bedford Street, Cannons Creek, Porirua.

The purpose of this pānui is to provide transparency around the sale process and ensure iwi members have the opportunity to participate if interested.

    Key Details:

    • Property Address: 227 Bedford Street, Cannons Creek, Porirua.

    • Sale Date: 12pm, 19 November 2024

    • Property Overview: The property is a three-bedroom residential house that was purchased in 2004. In recent years, it has served as the base for the delivery of the Ora Toa Mauriora services. Therefore, there are a number of additions and adaptations, i.e. basins in rooms that you would not typically see in a residential home. The home is being sold on an “as is” basis so you need to consider the work you’d carry out if you’re interested in putting in an offer.

    • Current Condition: The 2024 valuation for the property is $735,000 and is in below average condition. There is no builder’s report for the property, but we can arrange access if you’d like to organise for one to be completed.

    • Reason for Sale: The property is no longer fit to deliver the type of services needed and these services will be co-located at our other sites.

    • The property is currently occupied, so please do not enter the property without arranging with us.

    • Sale Type: The property is being sold with offers over $650,000 by closed tender. All tenders of offer will need to be submitted by 12pm on 27 November 2024 and the highest offer will be contacted to come and sign the sale and purchase agreement on that day. If more than one iwi member offers the same price, a ballot will be conducted to determine the successful party.

    • Important Dates:.

    • Open Home dates and times: 24 October, 5-7pm and 25 October, 12-2pm. If you are unable to make these times, please contact kainga@ngaittoa.iwi.nz to arrange alternate viewings.

    • Offers of tender will be required no later than 12pm on 27 November, with details for the submission provide to be finalised shortly and communicated.

    What happens next?

If you are interested in participating in this process or have any further questions, please contact us at kainga@ngatitoa.iwi.nz

We encourage you to consider this opportunity, and we thank you for your continued support as we work to enhance our community's wellbeing through strategic asset management.
